Getting Lost And Going Astray
Thursday 03/07/14 16:55 PM - Lm. Jack McArdle ss cc
There can be a difference between 'getting lost' and 'going astray'. Quite often in life we can go astray. But being lost is quite different.
There is a story told of a man on a journey to a distant city. Being unfamiliar with the route, he became confused and took the wrong road. When he realised his predicament, he stopped his car and asked a passing stranger, 'Can you help me? I'm lost.' 'Where are you going to?' the stranger asked. 'Going to Dublin,' to which the stranger replied, 'Then you're not lost. You know where you are going. All you need is directions.'
